3 Sci-Fi Movies On Hulu to Watch in November 2024
You might have seen that Alien, Predator, and Planet of the Apes are the main sci-fi franchises on Hulu, all of which are produced by 20th Century Studios.
You might have seen that Alien, Predator, and Planet of the Apes are the main sci-fi franchises on Hulu, all of which are produced by 20th Century Studios. Usually, while selecting the three sci-fi movies that you are required to view on Hulu each month, we would endeavour to refrain from utilising two installments from the same franchise.
Unfortunately, we had to choose two Alien films for November; one is a classic that has been absent for a while but is now available on Hulu, while the other is a summer 2024 smash that debuted this week.
Mike Judge, known for his work on Beavis and Butthead and Office Space, is the brains behind this month’s non-Alien selection: a sci-fi comedy.
Alien: Romulus (2024)
The latest Alien picture, Alien: Romulus, pays homage to Ridley Scott’s 1979 classic with its eerie atmosphere. Romanus takes place in the years leading up to Aliens and follows a group of pals, led by Rain Carradine (Cailee Spaeny), who are essentially indentured servants in space.
Rain, her adoptive android brother Andy (David Johnsson), Kay Harrison (Isabela Merced), and the others risk everything to steal materials from the Romulus space station, hoping to break free from their imprisoning lives. They find, unsurprisingly, a plethora of people eager to hug them. Additionally, Xenomorphs are always following in the footsteps of the facehuggers.

Aliens (1986)
Surprisingly, Aliens returned to Hulu earlier last month after spending a considerable amount of time on Max. Even though it’s been out for almost 40 years, this sci-fi action film is still a classic. James Cameron steps it up a notch with Aliens, which has the added distinction of being his sequel to The Terminator.
The sole survivor of the events of Alien, played by Sigourney Weaver’s Ellen Ripley, makes a triumphant return to Earth after a long absence. In spite of the fact that she has spent a significant portion of her existence in suspended animation, Ripley nevertheless volunteers to go on a mission with the Colonial Marines to the colony world LV-426 in order to confirm her claim about the Xenomorph invaders. The marines and Ripley find out that the colony is already under alien control, and they may not have much time to get out of there.

Idiocracy (2006)
Think about what would happen if the most dimwitted individuals in the world took control of the government and literally ran the country into the ground. What makes Idiocracy more sci-fi, though, is that this takes place hundreds of years from now, as a result of a failed cryogenics experiment. In the present, Luke Wilson’s Joe Bauers and Maya Rudolph’s Rita, a prostitute, were very ordinary. However, when compared to all other living beings, they will be the most intelligent 500 years from today.
The sole thing that spares Joe from jail is his now-relatively-high IQ. But Joe has only one week to address the most critical problems facing the nation, according to President Camacho (Terry Crews). Plus, death awaits Joe in the event of his failure.
