In Order to Prevent Password Sharing, Disney+ Will Launch a Crackdown on Password Sharing

In order to get people to share their Disney+ accounts, the company will make it harder for people to share passwords later this year.

Along with Netflix and other streaming services, it has added automated features that determine when more than one person or family member is using the same account.

People who pay for Disney+ can still have more than one login at home. Rules in the new technology, on the other hand, are meant to stop people from sharing their accounts with people who don’t live with them or with people from other homes.

The CEO of Disney, Bob Iger, said that Netflix was successful at getting people like that to buy their packages to watch.

He said that Disney would start putting out its version in some countries in June. Then, from September on, more people will use it.

To bring in more money for the platform, Mr. Iger said that Disney+ would be “launching our first real foray into password sharing” in June. He also said that this would help “turn this business into a business that we feel really good about.”

Netflix recently said that a rise in new subscribers was due to its crackdown on password sharing, which led to Disney’s move.

As soon as the company did more to deal with the problem, a huge number of new people signed up for the service, and sales have been going up ever since.

“Netflix is the best when it comes to streaming,” Mr. Iger said.

“They had a great time and went in many different ways. I have a lot of respect for what they’ve done. Everything they’ve done would be great if we could only do it ourselves.
