Kylie Jenner is launching her fashion label, Khy, following the deaths of her Kardashian sisters, including Khloe Kardashian’s Good American and Kim Kardashian’s Skims.

The 26-year-old beauty entrepreneur and influencer announced the clothing venture on Instagram with the caption “Meet Khy” and posed in a leather trench coat with Eighties-style shoulders and a cinched waist. The eponymous brand—a play on Jenner’s moniker—will launch on November 1 with a 12-piece capsule collection featuring predominantly black leather designs.

It was founded with the assistance of Emma and Jens Grede (both of whom have worked with Khloé Kardashian and Kim Kardashian on their respective brands), and the debut collection was created in partnership with Berlin label Namilia. According to an interview with The Wall Street Journal conducted by the reality star, the label will feature various guest designers and concepts throughout the year.

The latest in a long line of celebrity-founded brands (some good, some awful), the youngest Kardashian-Jenner sibling is attempting to stand out by marketing her 12-piece collection as inexpensive. Naturally, this is relative and has been met with criticism. Still, with prices ranging from $48 (£40) to $198 (£164) for that leather trench coat, the label is undoubtedly more accessible than some A-lister labels.

This is not Jenner’s first fashion venture. The influencer launched Kylie Swim in September 2021, but it failed by the middle of 2022 as a result of poor quality criticism. As for Khy, the judgment is still out, and we haven’t tested it yet, but the brand has been criticized for lacking originality (the trench coat resembles Yves Saint Laurent’s classic design). The twelve-piece debut collection is made from faux leather and includes trousers, tops, base layers, and mittens. The hero item is the leather trench coat, which is featured in greater detail on both the brand’s Instagram and Kylie Jenner’s personal accounts.
